Our Ministry Staff
At First Baptist Church, we recognize that every member is a minister. That does not mean, of course, that every person works in a vocational capacity at this church. Instead, we recognize that every person has been called upon by God to minister (serve) not only our church family but our community and world. There is always a place for you if you are willing to serve the Kingdom of God here at First Baptist. We would like for you to meet some of the team:
Kile Antone
Senior Pastor
Pastor Kile Antone is a devoted disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. A personal intimacy with the Father and His Word is where he finds the fuel and focus for a disciple-making ministry. Using the simple approach of relational ministry, he has been used of God to reach and teach people as a personal mentor and a public messenger both at home and abroad throughout his many years of pastoral work.
Kile has earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. He is currently working on the first of two Master's degrees - a Master of Arts from Liberty Theological Seminary. He plans to obtain a Master of Divinity degree as well.
He has served Southern Baptist Churches in South Carolina for the past several years. His places of service include Anderson, Greer and Honea Path SC. He has been serving as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Abbeville since June of 2009. “As a Pastor I have enjoyed my time growing and learning alongside friends and families wherever I have served. It is my passion to preach and teach the wonders of His glory.” Pastor Kile has also had the privilege to travel worldwide preaching and teaching the unsearchable depths of God’s Word.
A native of Pickens, SC he and his wife, the former Melanie Looper, have one son, Dylan.
Moses A. Aleman, Jr.
Minister of Music and Senior Adults
Moses has been with us since 1994. Born in New Mexico and reared in Texas, he is married to the former Donna Pressley of Easley, South Carolina. They met while they were both students at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The Alemans have three grown sons, Christopher, Jonathan, and Patrick; two daughters-in-law, Tanya and Katie; and a grandson, Jonathan Jr. and a granddaughter LilyAnn. When not busy with his music responsibilities, Moses enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is also active in two choral organizations: The Greenwood Festival Chorale and The South Carolina Baptist Singing Churchmen.
Daniel Royster
Student Pastor
Daniel joins us as the Student Pastor in charge of Nursery through College ages. Daniel was born and raised in Anderson, SC and went to TL Hanna High School. After high school he went to Clemson University and graduated from there with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 2005. After Clemson he served for five years at Eureka Baptist in Anderson as their Minister of Youth and Children. While at Eureka, Daniel also attended the North Greenville University Graduate School and earned his Master of Christian Ministry. Daniel joins us with his wife, Caitlin, and their two sons, Pierce and Cole.
Louise Boyce
Church & Financial Secretary
Louise, who has served as our church secretary for over 30 years, lives in Honea Path where she is active in First Baptist Church there. She is married to Marion Boyce and they have 2 grown children and 2 granddaughters. Louise is an invaluable asset to our church family. We are proud to have her on our staff.
